The optical illusion is created by hand-painting a solution that oxidises the silver to a create a shadow, and the fusing of gold onto the stone hammered silver surface to create a third dimension.

These earrings are fabulously elegant and at under 5.85g each, light enough to wear round the clock.
Whilst the overall dimensions for each earring are the same: 75mm long, 12mm wide and 0.8mm thick, the earrings are slightly asymmetric. One has a slightly taller top tower and the other has a slightly taller bottom tower.
For pierced ears, the sterling silver posts are 11mm long with a scroll back. Each earring bears my Maker’s mark as they are underweight for Hallmarking.
