Artist in Residence

I was privileged to be invited to spend three months as Artist in Residence at Trier University Dept Gemstones & Gemmology and the Jakob Bengel Foundation from April to June 2023. Staying at the AiR apartment next to the extraordinary and fascinating Jakob Bengel Industrial Monument, I re-learned how to take time without wasting time, and became fascinated by the history and the landscape in and around Idar-Oberstein in Germany. The MA @campusidaroberstien is run in English and thus has an international student cohort.

Goldsmiths’ Fair

Goldsmiths’ Fair is always worth visiting not only for the jewellery and silversmithing exhibitors, but also to admire the splendour of Goldsmiths’ Hall. Take a look at past shows, blogs and talks here.

Contemporary Applied Arts Gallery - CAA - London - currently no work in stock (August 2023) but hopefully that will change soon…

The Sussex Guild - I usually exhibit with the Guild at least four times a year throughout East and West Sussex. Set up over fifty years ago, The Guild, its shop in Lewes and its events are organised and supported by its members. I am currently one of the trustees.

The Goldsmiths’ Company - I received support early on with ‘Getting Started’ and received a much appreciated grant in 2020 from the Goldsmiths’ Charity COVID-19 Fund.

I received the prestigious Crafts Council Development Award in 2004 which enabled me to set up my studio when I relocated to the South Coast.

South East Creatives - funded by the European Union SEC provided welcome support before Brexit.
